Propaganda – die deutsche Synth-Pop- Legende der 80er
Propaganda wurde 1982 in Düsseldorf gegründet und zog von dort nach Großbritannien. Die Gruppe veröffentlichte unter anderem die Single „Dr. Mabuse“. Diese erreichte die Top 30 in der UK Singles Chart und die Top 10 in Deutschland.
Propaganda war bis 1990 in wechselnder Besetzung aktiv und kam dann 2005 mit Susanne Freytag und Michael Mertens wieder zusammen, um neues Material auf dem deutschen Independent-Label Amontillado Music zu veröffentlichten. Für die Gestaltung der Vinyl-Platte „Valley of the Machine Gods“, wurde Raimond Radtke angefragt. Das Cover besteht aus einem faltbaren Poster als Hülle. Die Single war innerhalb von 2 Wochen ausverkauft.

Propaganda was founded in Düsseldorf in 1982 and moved from there to Great Britain. Among others, they have released the single “Dr. Mabuse”. It reached the Top 30 in the UK Singles Chart and the Top 10 in Germany.
Propaganda was active with changing line-ups until 1990 and then got back together with Susanne Freytag and Michael Mertens in 2005 to release new material on the German independent label Amontillado Music. Raimond Radtke was asked to design the vinyl record “Valley of the Machine Gods”. The cover consists of a foldable poster as a sleeve. The single was sold out within 2 weeks.
